Development Initiative


PADF is linking U.S.-based immigrant groups that wish to focus on development projects in their home countries with training, matching funds, and other resources. The purpose of the initiative is to increase incomes, generate jobs, and provide sustainable opportunities for families and communities in immigrants' home countries

ALCANCE


ALCANCE, as part of the transnational development initiative, is an innovative alliance, originated and funded by the USAID Mission in El Salvador. This alliance brings together Salvadoran Hometown Associations in the United States with PADF, World Vision, Banco Agrícola, and others. Download a copy of the final report here.

Manos Unidas Por
El Salvador


“Manos Unidas por El Salvador” is a pioneering partnership between Banco Agrícola of El Salvador and the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF), wherein Banco Agrícola provides resources, managed by PADF, to fund local development projects proposed by the communities themselves. The “Manos Unidas” Transnational Development Fund matches funding for community-based remittance projects in El Salvador through a competitive selection process.
