How can Community/Immigrant Groups donate tools and health equipment? Community groups or immigrants who wish to donate tools or health equipment to institutions in Latin America or the Caribbean can do so through PADF Health and Tools Programs. Interested donors for the Tools for Training and Health Services Programs should call Luis Enrique Lazo at (202) 458-3969 or send an e-mail to donations@padf.org Tools Latin American and Caribbean vocational and technical schools need all types of high-quality equipment and materials including: • Office Equipment: Computers and peripherals, Spanish software, copiers, typewriters, fax machines • Carpentry Tools: Hammers, saws, squares, levels, planes, tape measures • Agricultural Tools: Shovels, hoes, pruning shears, machetes, rakes, clippers, mattocks • Maintenance Tools: Chisels, hammers, files, wrenches, pliers, levels, pry bars • Masonry Tools: Trowels, levels, putty knives, spackling knives • Plumbing Supplies: Wrenches, cutting , welding and soldering tools, pipe cutters and threaders • Machine Tools: Lathes, milling machines, shapers, grinders, drill presses • Electric Tools: Power tools for cutting, sanding , grinding and drilling, air tools • Safety Equipment: Safety glasses, gloves, helmets Health Equipment The following items are often requested: • Cardiac and fetal monitors • Respirators • Ventilators • Anesthesia machines • Infusion pumps • Baby warmers • X-ray units • Ultrasound machines • Mammography units • Laboratory equipment • Wheelchairs • Hospital beds
