Beginning in 2003, as part of a USAID grant, PADF has been working with the Haitian Diaspora in the rehabilitation of local schools.  The program offers matching grant funds for Haitian-American organizations interested in investing in school reconstruction projects in Haiti.  Through PADF, USAID provides $1.75 for every $1.00 invested by the Haitian Diaspora for the rehabilitation of local schools. To date, four schools have been rehabilitated with Haitian Diaspora support benefiting over 1,200 primary school students.
